Llandudno Toboggan Run: A Complete Guide

Tobogganing is an exciting activity that brings smiles, laughter, and joy to kids and adults alike. This particular toboggan run doesn’t require a slope of snow and can be done throughout the year. If you’re looking for a little fun on your journey in North Wales, I recommend stopping by this must-see attraction for an adrenaline rush. Between the sightseeing, beach visits, and nature exploration, a toboggan run is a great addition to your itinerary for Llandudno.

Where Can You Go Tobogganing in Llandudno?

The Llandudno Snowsports Centre is a year-round activity centre famous for the longest Cresta Toboggan run in the entire country. At 575 metres long, this exhilarating experience should not be missed if you are in the Conwy area. As you zoom down the hill, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Llandudno Bay. The centre is located by Happy Valley park, where the Llandudno cable cars are, and the Great Orme limestone headland.

Other Activities to Enjoy at Llandudno Snowsports Centre

In addition to tobogganing, children and adults can enjoy sno-tubing, mini golf in Alpine-themed surroundings, and skiing and snowboarding. The artificial slope accommodates all levels and public and private lessons are provided for all ages. After I tried out a few of the activities, I refuelled at the Alpine Bar and Restaurant with an Alpine Hot Chocolate.

Visitor Information

The Snowsports Centre has varied opening times, so be sure to check the calendar on the official website, https://www.jnlllandudno.co.uk. Note that children under 4 years old are not permitted to ride, while children aged 4 – 7 must ride with an adult aged 16 or over.

Do You Have to Prebook?

Prebooking isn’t required, but it’s recommended to call before you arrive to ensure the track isn’t closed and that there are still tickets available. Arriving early gives you a better chance to enjoy the ride!

How Much Does it Cost?

Two rides on the toboggan cost £9 or £8.50 per person if you show up with a group of 10+ people. If you’re looking to do a few other activities at the centre, there are deals and combos that combine tobogganing and golf and/or sno-tubes.

Opening Times

The Cresta Run is open at various times depending on the month. At times, the centre itself may be open for other activities, but the toboggan may be closed.
